Blizzard Entertainment has once again implemented the free-to-play business model into yet another great and addictive game. Starcraft II, their well-known real-time strategy game has launched a free-to-play option called Starcraft II: Starter Edition much like what they did with the release of World of Warcraft: Starter Edition. Instead of offering a trial or demo version of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, they are currently allowing users to experience the game for free with no time restriction. But similar to WoW, the Starter Edition offers minimal features.
-The very first 4 missions of the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty single-player campaign, which includes Mar Sara 1-3 as well as the option to begin Tychus’s 1st mission or Dr. Hansen’s 1st mission.
-The first 2 modes: Tactical Command as well as Covert Ops.
- Entry to terran race within Custom Games plus Single Player vs. AI.
- Accessibility to these custom maps (map selection may cycle as time passes):
Shattered Temple
Xel’Naga Caverns
High Orbit
Discord IV
All of your accomplishments that are gained while taking part in Starcraft II: Starter Edition will certainly be stored into your Battle.net account. Your progress will be moved over if you decide to buy the complete version of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty.
