SINGAPORE – PlayFast, the technology company leading the transition to digital distribution for games, today announced its partnership with IAHGames. The companies are bringing Granado Espada to players faster than ever before using PlayFast’s PlayNow technology (http://playnowtech.com/) which makes games playable after just 3-5 percent of the original download has been installed on the user’s hard drive. After the successful deployment, IAHGames will use the technology to power the adoption of Valve Software’s Counter-Strike Online and EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 2 across the territories it serves.

PlayFast has implemented its proprietary technology and dedicated its internal resources to ensuring the most essential game assets for Granado Espada are downloaded and playable within minutes for new players. This gives the end user the best gameplay experience by reducing the time from click to play and enables IAHGames to introduce the game to even more potential players than before.

“Granado Espada is one of the most successful and popular free-to-play games to date,” said Gene Berger, Head of International Operations for PlayFast. “IAHGames continues to look for new players, and our PlayNow Tech is bringing in players that might otherwise have abandoned the large download. The result is an increasing player base for IAHGames and Granado Espada.”

“As the leading online games operator in Southeast Asia, it is our aim to bring world class entertainment to gamers throughout the region,” said Jonathon Sze, General Manager, Online Games of IAHGames . “Our partnership with PlayFast shows our ambition as we believe it to be a good step towards raising the level of gaming experience in this part of the world.”

PlayFast has technology that addresses the increasing size of game downloads, which is one of the greatest challenges for the online games market today.
