Alien Arena is a fast, fun and free FPS developed by COR Entertainment. This game brings together many of the finest elements of games like Quake III and Unreal Tournament and combines them in a retro alien theme, while including plenty of original concepts to make the game genuinely one of a kind. Alien Arena is a flabergasted frag fest with arenas which range from the modest, to the monumental. Having a massive built-in player base, it’s rarely hard to come by a good match at any time. The community is welcoming, and also respected. A wide selection of maps, models, and other accessories are already designed by community members to incorporate into the gaming experience.

Developed using the CRX engine, which is in accordance with the Id GPL source code, Alien Arena consists of current day effects including real-time per pixel lighting and ragdoll physics, soft shadows, light blooms, lensflares, 32 bit color, textured particles, decals, weather effects, shaders, fog and even more. The engine is enhanced with every new release, and will perform very beautifully even on outdated hardware. Improvement of the engine carries on at a fast pace, and with every release moves closer in quality to commercial gaming. Alien Arena features team based gameplay too, for example Team Core Assault, a mode in which gamers need to cooperate to eliminate their enemy team’s central metal spider. There are also Deathball, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Cattle Prod, and All Out Assault mode (in which players can enter vehicles). For the solo players, Alien Arena at this time offers a duel mode!
